Creation Washed Upon Me

The whole world became altered
When I saw with grateful eyes
Many questions vanished
The wherefores and the whys

Anger dissipated
No thing was amiss
A feeling came upon me
Morning's gentle kiss

I thought that I was dreaming
This could not be true
I awakened to a dawning
Fear had changed its hue

Where pride once ruled the kingdom
It yielded to the thunder
That swept away my walls
All illusion torn asunder

Creation washed upon me
In the heartfelt world of spirit
Everywhere I listened
It assured me not to fear it

It said I Am in silence
A single candle lit
In the wild black around me
I was a child of It
